Join HFS Chicago Scholars Friday, May 13 at 6:00pm for their 5th annual Poker and Casino Night - "All In for Scholars" which includes a chance to win a seat to the Main Event at World Series of Poker (valued at $10,000) in Las Vegas!
The event is being held at a new venue this year, Galleria Marchetti at 825 W Erie. Your $150 ticket ($150 thru April 16 only, then $200) includes food, drinks and entry into the Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament with $5000 of poker chips to start. Poker chips have no cash value. Casino only players can attend for a discounted $100 ($125 March 15 - April 16, $150 after April 16.)
Attire: Cocktail, Business Casual or Dressy Casual is appropriate.

HFS Chicago Scholars assists economically disadvantaged Chicago inner-city high school students who show academic and leadership promise achieve their educational goals by providing financial assistance and mentoring. They provide the following to their scholars:
- financial assistance to attend top Chicago private high schools;
- Academic Directors dedicated to each high school class and one-on-one mentors;
- four-year written commitment specifying performance expectations;
- college visits, selection and admissions support.
Children’s Oncology Services 2016 Charity Poker Tournament
Place your bet on One Step Programs as we prepare for our 2016 Charity Poker Championship on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
The event will host an estimated 240 poker players and more than 100 spectators. Players will compete for approximately $15,000 in prizes including the coveted Grand Prize: a seat at the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas ($10,000 value).

All proceeds from the 2016 Charity Poker Championship will benefit One Step Programs (dba Children's Oncology Services, Inc.), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer. 9th Annual Aces Up Charity Poker Tournament
On Thursday, December 3rd, Urban Prep Academies will be hosting its 9th Annual Aces Up Charity Poker Tournament, making it one of the longest running charitable poker events in Chicago. Hundreds of players will hit the felt, trying to best one another in this game of skill and chance, all vying for a piece of the prize purse valued at more than $10,000.
Last year's event attracted hundreds of players and spectators who came out to the event to enjoy fast-paced poker and support Urban Prep Academies, helping to raise $100,000 for the schools.
By the end of the evening, only nine players remained to compete for a piece of a prize pool valued at over $10,000. Only one Celebrity Bounty, Ameet Sachdev, made it to the final table. He was dramatically knockedout when his full-house was beaten by Karl Sederberg’s quads on the river.
This year, hosts Richard Roeper, Alexi Giannoulias, Chris Zorich and Urban Prep founder and CEO Tim King are back on the scene to keep the festivities lively. In addition to the Texas Hold ‘Em tourney, guests enjoyed delicious food and plentiful drinks.
